Baby burritos

Max is such a silly boy, when he's not being a cranky 6 year old he's pretty cute. We still swaddle Allie at nap and bedtimes. Max thought it would be fun and silly for him to do it too. So, for 3 or 4 nights I had to swaddle my 6 year old. He thought it was hilarious! He even stayed that way for awhile and fell asleep a couple of times. Crazy, sweet little boy!

Here are some pics.... Allie was ready to be in bed, not taking pictures

My bed misses me

Bed, what bed!! I would do all my posts right now but I'm just plain ol' to tired. The last couple nights have been rough with little Allie Ann. Last night I went to bed at 10:30 and then I was up at 11, 1, 3, 5 and 7. (She loves the odd hours I guess.) That was a little to much for me but I have lots of things to post about. First cereal, first day of school, all that fun stuff. But until then I'm off to bed.
PS --- Not trying to complain because I wouldn't trade it for anything. Not even one full nights sleep.

The Pizza Recipe

Pizza Crust

2 3/4 C Flour

1 Package yeast

1 C warm water (120*-130*)

1/2 tsp salt

2 TBLS oil

In a large mixing bowl combine 1 1/4 c. flour, yeast, and salt. Add water and oil. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed 30 secs, scraping bowl. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes. Stir in remaining flour and mix until a nice dough consistency is formed. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Roll out to desired size.

We always make stuffed crust. Scott rolls it out over the edges and then rolls the cheese up inside and the puts melted butter and garlic salt on the edges. He's a pro!! Good luck and yummy times for you all!

Pizza

We like to make homemade pizza. We make it a little to often but that explains a lot around my middle. But, I think that Scott has perfected it... Look at this beautiful and I must say, very tasty pizza.

What pizza is complete without bread sticks.... Mmmmmm good!

More garden

Our garden has been really fun this year. We've had lots of fun meals from it and good family time working there. We got really excited the other day when we realized we'd grown everything on our plate. Yes, we are that lame!

Max stirring the raspberry jam. Mmmmm tasty!

We had lots of fun making it...
The taste tests are the best.

Potato wedges. The potatoes are yellow and blue.

More taters. We are in Idaho......

Blackberries
Corn......
We did freezer corn his past Saturday. If I never see another piece of corn.....Ugh

Twin Fall Temple

We had the opportunity to go to the Twin Falls Temple open house. I have to say it is so beautiful. My Aunt and Uncle live right across the street and get to see this every morning. Amazing! If you get the chance you should go.

It was a stormy day but it made for a great picture.
The view from my Uncle's street. WOW!
This is on the Temple grounds. It was all so pretty...

Happy Birthday Max

My baby boy is 6! I can't believe how fast time flies by. It seems like only yesterday that I was in the hospital praying that the epidural would kick in and Scott saying "It's a boy". And now look at him. I have to say that it has been the best 6 years of my life and I can't wait to see what comes in the next.

We decided this year to have a boy party. Max invited over some more crazy boys and they had a blast. They played in the pool, shot at bad guys and had cake and ice cream. I think and hope that it was fun for all.

Kids really do say the darndest things...

We were at my Aunts wedding this past Friday with all the family. It was great fun all around and then Sarah starts busting up. She's trying to tell me something from across the yard but still be discreet about it. Yeah right that doesn't work. She heard this short conversation between our sons. Here you go...

Mason "Max, is dumb a bad word at your house?"

Max " Yeah, but not as bad as ass."

How can you not laugh at that? At least he knows, I guess. I thought it was cute. I hope you get a little chuckle out of it.

Tag! You're it!!

It's summer and I'm in the mood for a little game of Tag.Here's how this "Tag" works. List 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 surprising facts about yourself. Then tag 5 people at the end of your post.

My 3 Joys:
1. Scott
2. Max
3. Alaina

My 3 Fears:
1. Losing a loved one
2. Losing one of my children
3. I'm afraid of the dark........

My 3 Goals:
1. Raise my kids to be nice people
2. Get out of debt
3. Start exercising again

My 3 Collections/Obsessions:
1. I obsess over my house. I go crazy if it's not tidy. Clutter makes me go a little psycho!
2. I collect anything from my kids... All Max's pre-school projects, the teeth he's lost, special clothes for both of them... I'm psycho about that as well.
3. I obsess about my kids. They can't be out of my sight and when they are I'm very uneasy. BUT I am getting better which is good because Max will be in school in a week and a half....

My 3 Surprising Facts:
1. I love softball. I was on the first Idaho fast pitch softball team my Senior year of High School. We won State that year, we totally kicked butt!!
2. I love to run. It may not look like it right now and I haven't done it lately but I really enjoy it.
3. Apparently I have no other surprising facts.... I can't think of anything else. Let me know if you know on about me...!

I tag...... Carrie, Sarah and anyone else out there who may read this. You know who you are.

Happy Campers

So it's been a couple of weeks but I've been doing who knows what and not updating this.... Here goes...

Our Ward Campout was held in July and was pretty close to where we live so we thought we would venture it. It turned out to be lots of fun and the kids were both great. Here are the pictures of all the fun times.

This is all of us on the way there.

This is the scenery on the way. You gotta love Idaho!

We were right on the water and Max was in heaven! That boy is part fish...
THE ROPE SWING.... It has a story.... I found Max here after a few minutes of searching. He was patiently waiting in line as I was talking to the other parents there. I mentioned that I hoped he could hold on alright only to find out that he had already gone TWICE and was quite good. I was shocked! What a responsible Mom I am.... but he had a great time. Blisters and all!

We finally made it to bed around 11:30 or so. Alaina slept great, Max was freezing and had to go potty about 50 times or so. She woke up super happy around 7 and Max slept and slept.

Scott and Alaina
The view from our tent. It was beautiful. I loved camping there, it was grassy not much dirt!
Max got in trouble before bed and so his punishment was no rope swing in the morning. We were watching him all morning and he was great. He was watching the kids and laughing and having fun but stayed off the swing. So when he walked up to us like this we were a little curious. Apparently he was the rope catcher and one little girl was out and didn't quite make it back in the first swing. When she came back on the second one he tried to catch her. I'm sure you can see the problem. She's 9, I think, and not much bigger but to big for him to catch. He got her and it carried him out into the water where he let go and she kept going out. The water wasn't deep but rocky so he was a little scratched up and then when she came back by him he got kicked in the head. Poor little hero.... He was so sweet to her. He came to tell us and he was so upset because he thought that we would think that he was swinging. About 5 people saw and told us what happened. It was so cute. And no he didn't get in trouble. He was so brave he go to go swing before we left.
All in all we had a great time and hope to go camping again some time soon!
