This is a happier post...

This is Max and Alaina last night. It's so cute! He makes her laugh so hard, I love it. Sorry if you get a shot of his bum but I think it's safe.

Miss Gabby Maggy

This is the last picture of Maggy. Max thought the snow was so cute on her nose. Sorry it's not a good one.

Our sweet dog Maggy passed away last night. She was almost 12 years old. Scott and I got her when she was just a puppy and we had only been married for 7 months. She has been apart of our family forever. She was the best dog, most of the time...! She and Scott used to play hide and seek. I would say where's Scott and she would go find him, so fun. Max has always had her, he'll be so sad. They had lots of fun together, the boy and his dog. We loved her very much. I wish I had more pictures to share but I can't find them right now.

7 month pictures

Precious

We finally took Alaina to get her pictures. It was only two days after she started her medicine for her ear/sinus infection so she wasn't very smiley(if you knw her at all you know that's not normal) but that picture is so sweet. I love it!! I added the shadowing and her name at a website called piknic.com. Go there it's awesome! I do the free stuff...Fun.

Here are some of the other pictures. You can see how somber she was. Hardly a real smile in the whole lot of them! Her smile was more like a 'get me out of here' look. But she's smiling now, thank goodness!

Love the tongue...!

Smile?

Get me out of here!

Smile!

Hmmm, not to sure about this...
It was still fun and I love the picture we picked. Love this sweet girl!

My Sweet Boy

Do you ever have those days when you love your kids more than you have words for? That was me yesterday and still is me today and most every day. My sweet son can melt my heart. He looks at me with those beautiful blue eyes and it just melts. Last night he said the prayer, it went something like this...
Heavenly Father... Bless us to all be healthy... Have good dreams...Alaina to be strong and healthy like my Mom's big Max...Bless Grandpa McCombs in Heaven to be healthy and strong...Amen.
Can you get any sweeter than that?? I say NO WAY! I just love him!
Here are some pictures of his first 6 years of happiness!
(YES! EVERY DAY OF ALL 6 YEARS HAVE BEEN HAPPY!!)

It took him awhile to get here but I am so happy and thankful he is my son. For now and forever!

It's a Pepsi kind of day

Let me explain something before I get to the point of this post. I don't drink Pepsi. It makes my tummy hurt. It gives me that buzz that keeps me awake at night. I don't like that. I was however raised on Pepsi. My sweet mother and grandmother gave it to me in my bottle. Yes, my BOTTLE! I'm sure it was a sweet jester to share their special nectar with me. To which I eternally owe them my secret addiction to the 'juice'. I crave it, and I do mean CRAVE, when I'm pregnant. It's odd but a fact. I also want it when I have had no sleep. Which brings me to the point of this post.... My sweet Alaina has not slept more than 2 hours at a time since Sunday. Mere minutes for a nap. Just an hour at a time at night. It is getting ridiculous. I was discussing this with my SIL and mentioned that it was a Pepsi kind of day. She then commented that I must be having a really bad day, so true. Not but a couple of hours later she shows up at my door with the bottle wrapped in a brown paper bag. I love that! It adds such a great effect to how I feel about Pepsi, that bitter sweet gift from the 'pop gods'. It still sits in it's brown bag waiting to be opened, releasing that ever inviting smell.... Can you just smell it.... Mmmm.
Maybe today will be the day, who knows. I'm biding my time until just the right moment, maybe 2 am, maybe 4 am, I"m sure I'll see both.
My poor Alaina was awake more than asleep last night. So sad. We did however go to the doctor today to discover she has a nasty ear/sinus infection. Bless her little heart.... Thank heavens for medicine to relieve her pains. Hopefully SHE will be feeling better very, very soon.

Thanksgiving

Finally I have a minute or 20 to sit down and let you all know about our wonderful Thanksgiving. It really was a good one. I don't know why, nothing spectacular just lots of family time. It was great!

On Wednesday we had Becki and her kids over to play. These are our sweet, SWEET babies. Only 4 weeks apart. They are so fun to watch grow and grow.

Mary and Alaina

Alaina decided that she wanted to eat Max's Indian hat that he colored with markers at school. Good thing they use non-toxic markers... Right??

We had a sleepover for all the "BIG BOY" cousins on Wednesday. It's so nice that they get along so well. We have 3 that are 6 and one 4 year old. They had lots of fun.

This is Alaina wishing she could keep up with them.... Or away from them I'm not sure...

The boys eating pizza and watching Star Wars 2. Which we later found out some of them aren't allowed to watch, Oops...! That's what sleepovers are for!

Bed time was great! They went right to sleep around 11pm, it was Heaven!

And of course, it wouldn't be a boys day without endless hours of PLAYSTATION!!

While they played we made pies, pies, pies...!

This is Scott's Lemon Meringue, beautiful!

There were also two silk chocolate, an apple, of course pumpkin made by Mom and a cherry. It was fun to make. Unfortunately the chocolate was nasty... Maybe that was a good thing... hmm.

Carrie on dish duty

Emmerson being ever so helpful. Love her!

Sarah chuggin' the sparkly..cider of course!

After dinner it was time for games. Look at those game faces!!
