September in a nutshell

...Or should I say nut house! This month flew by. I figure that I've forgotten everything important that I was going to post, so I just put on all the pictures from our month. It doesn't look as busy as it was but I can't figure out where it went....

Here are my sweet angels. The one on the right is
pointing a gun at the 'bad guy behind me' (yeah right)
and the one on the left is now cutting 6, yes count them 6, teeth.

She's still sweet as a button even with the teeth. On Sunday I was talking to my friend whose baby is a day older than Alaina. I asked if he was cutting any teeth yet and she said no. I also said no.... Then on Monday afternoon she smiled her big cheesy smile and what... there was a tooth. And 2 more on top. The side teeth of course.... I'm thinking pumpkin for Halloween. Then on Tuesday, two more on top and one more on bottom. Poor girl, she sure is trooper.
She also had her shots on Monday.... sheesh....

They are so sweet. He's the kind of big brother I always wanted... So far!
MMmmmmm Carrots. Actually, she didn't really like them.

She's a rice cereal kind a gal.

Max loves to help feed her.

Max the photographer. We walk to school every day and this is us leaving. All the good times. I told you it wasn't a spectacular month...

Cuddle time with Dad. Scott left for a week for training. It was tough but we made it. It's great to have him back!
We were all happy then!
The girls were hanging out. Girl time is FUN!
She flies like Superman.....

Ryan is helmet free!

Ammon and Ryan have been here a lot and it's been FUN!

I made these NASTY cookies. My friend makes them and they are DELICIOUS! I, of course, messed up the recipe. Here it is---

1 Spice Cake Mix

1 Small can pumpkin pie filling

Mini - Chocolate chips.

Bake ate 350* for 8-10-20 minutes. That part depends on your oven. They'll look cake like when they're done. MMmmmmm.... Carrie and I made them last night, the right way!

Still looking for this pattern..... I love it!

That's our month in a nut shell. I'll try to do better at posting, time just got away from me. YOu know how it is!

Kickball Rocks!

For a family celebration that school started and our kids went, Mason going happily, we had a BBQ and played kickball. I haven't played it since I was a grade school kid myself. It was so absolutely fun! I highly suggest going out and kicking the tar out of that stinkin' ball, very therapeutic and fun too. We are planning to have friends over and play some more before it gets to cold. We'll see if it gets done, it's already a bit chilly.....

Here are some pictures of the fun..
I think this is Kayla
The boys...
Carrie
Me... ever so graceful ;(
The whole gang.
I can't believe how big our family has become.
Grandma and Alaina are missing...

This is how Alaina spent the night.

She fell asleep in Scott's arms and she was 'out'!

Have you seen this?

I found these super cute hats on a website and I fell in love with them! They are just the cutest! The first problem, I'm not going to pay $20 for something I could possibly make myself. Problem number two, I have no idea how to make them aside from the fact that they're crocheted. Has anyone ever made or seen a pattern of how to make them? I want to make one or two for Alaina for the winter. Can't you see her in one? Oh my goodness, SO CUTE!!
If you can help me out, leave me a message I would LOVE it!

Sarah......

As soon as we see the first leaves changing we are in need of a family picture! This is ours for now. How sad it is.... Max and I are in our pj's and Alaina is all bundled up for bed! We are a little WT in this one!

Anyone interested in pictures, my sister Sarah does a great job! Let me know and I'll get you her number!

Grandma 'Combs

It was one of those days when I could NOT get Alaina to sleep. My Mom came over for a minute, held her and she was out. There's just something about grandma shoulders, babies love them! Alaina has two wonderful grandma's that love to get her to sleep and I love that they can!

My sister the triathlete

So, I promised Becki I wouldn't post the pictures but that doesn't mean I can't brag about her. She did a Triathlon! Can you believe it? She's insane right? Well, maybe a little but it's really pretty awesome. She did great! She didn't drown which the most important part... But she finished in the time she had hoped maybe faster I can't remember, sorry Beck!
Maybe next year the rest of us will join in or NOT! Carrie, Sarah and I are more into running, Becki has her own craziness. I just had to 'toot her horn' because I know she won't!

Way to go Becki!!

Just a few firsts....

It's that time for Alaina.... First cereal. So far so good. The first time she wasn't quite sure what to do with it but she's about got it down now. She's starting to figure out what the bowl and spoon mean and she gets a bit excited. What a cutie!
Here's the first taste....
Not to bad....
Max loves to join in on the fun, he's a great brother
Here's the other first. We've been seeing this for about a month now. Not quite over but really, really close.
Really close....
closer......
She did it!!!
She was so happy, then she realized she was on her tummy and got TICKED! What a girl! Now she just needs to work on rolling back..... but not to fast!

First Day of School

It finally came. The first ever first day of school. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be but I prayed and prayed for that. It's tough to watch your little ones grow up but also the best at the same time. Max is such a fun boy, mostly, and I miss him when he's not around. He loved every minute of school so that makes me feel better. Here are a few pictures of the first day.

Getting ready to go. We walked and Max road his bike.
Alaina was happy to be out.
I was a little nervous and Max was just Max....
The walking gang. My sister Carrie and her kids walk with us most of the time. They think it's cool to walk because they're bussers. Max wants to ride the bus...
Outside his classroom
Lining up after the bell. This is Aaron, Max, Jennie and Brittany.
The sweetest teacher telling them where to go.

The teacher let us come in for a goodbye story and get hugs and kisses. Which was great because most of the parents needed that. All in all the first day was great. Max has lots of friends in his class and a great teacher. I'm excited to see him learn and grow through this year. It'll be fun!!
