Oh yeah, I think there was Halloween

I can't believe that I forgot about Halloween. Maybe it's the sugar high that I've been on for the past week or so... Yeah, that's it. Here are the cutie's in all their glory. They had a great time.

Max carved his pumpkin all by himself this year. It turned out pretty good!
He's pretending like every boy this time of year I imagine... puking in the pumpkins. Seriously, can you resist it?
The 'Squishy' playing with the pumpkin top. She touched it and reacted like a girl. It was really cute. The 'ew' face and all.
Our family masterpiece. Scott did the two taller ones and Max did the rest. He was a carving crazed boy. He couldn't stop.
Our sweet bunch of trick-or-treaters! They were lots of fun.
Emma, she really is cute under all the gore. She sure loved it!!
Alaina after her 'haul' at the trunk-or-treat. Loving time with her daddy.
The girls! Me, Alaina, Becki, my sister, and Mary. Our little Cow and Lady bug. They had a great time!! See the mess on their faces.... true signs of fun!

Happy Anniversary

Spring 2009

13 years... That doesn't seem possible but it's true. It seems like we just started off this adventure and here we are right in the midst of it. It's been fun. Lots of good times, some sad and not to many bad. We thought there would be more babies by now but we're thankful for the two beautiful children that we have. We love where we are, with family and good friends close. I can't wait to see where it goes from here. Hopefully easy times lay ahead.

We are still alive

We are. Really. You would think that with Max at school I would have more time. But I don't. I've forgotten how much time a 1 year old takes. Oh, don't get me wrong, I love it but it is alot of time. I have loads of pictures on the camera with lots of stories so hopefully soon I'll be back with them. For now a funny Max story.

Halloween --- We went real trick or treating with the Richardson's in Kuna. It was lots of fun. There were lots of houses that were all decked out for Halloween, some pretty scary. There was a monster house, with fangs and all! I guess Max was more scared than he let on because his prayer that night was that he would not think about all those scary houses. So, when I was tucking him in I said --
"you know those teeth were made of paper and paper can't hurt you?"
And he said "Ya Mom, what about paper cuts, they make you bleed!"
I just laughed!!! Who wouldn't!! He gets funnier every day! I love it!!

Imaginating...

First day of school!!!

Max started 1st grade this year. I've had mixed emotions about it. Glad to have time but missing my boy and I love that he is learning so much. He has loved it and he seems to have a great teacher! I do miss him but the time goes a lot faster than one would think. Each year before school Scott gives him a Blessing. They talked about any concerns he may have for the coming year and what he wanted to learn. Afterwards he was just sitting on the stool, staring into space. Scott tried to ask him something and he said "oh what was that Dad, sorry, i was imaginating how Heavenly Father was going to keep me safe." It was the cutest!! I know that he will enjoy this year and learn so much. He is such a fun boy and a great brother!

Busy, busy, busy!!

Finally, a new post!!
So, this is for Julie! She asked to see "proof" of the ugly finger! Here it is
and it's still sore and swollen just not ugly!

It was hard to get a good one but this gives you an idea. It turned a nice
shade of yellow as it went away!

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!!
Max turned 7 and had a Star Wars party! Everyone was REQUIRED to bring a light sabre! It was lots of fun. We were supposed to swim but it was raining and icky so we played sardines instead. The boys and Alaina and the Moms had lots of fun!

This is where one of the boys hid and Alaina found him! She wanted to hide there too! It's our coat closet with all the coats on the floor!
All the boys in the BESTEST HIDING SPOT EVER!!! The pantry, behind the door, on top of the vaccuum! I looked twice before I found him! Good job Russell!

Birthday gun! A birthday would not be complete without one!
The whole gang!!
Dad and Squishy!!!

Our sweet puppy, Maebel. We call her Mae. This is her before she came here, she's about 3 - 4 weeks old. Cutie!

First day here.
Max already loves her and she him! A boy and his dog, so sweet!
Not so much instant love with Alaina. The puppy wants to play like a puppy with her, but she doesn't. Mae chases her around, it's cute to watch!

And last but not least... Max got stung AGAIN!!! This time it was wasps. They are all dead now but they are remember....
The pictures tell it all!

DAY 1

I made him lay down and rest with the baking soda on...
Isn't that a great face.... love it!
Day 2...
He woke up at 6:30 and said "Mom, you gotta look at my eye!!"
and I said "Oh, yeah, I can see it!!!"
We go to the doctor later. We'll keep you all posted!!!

Okay!!

I keep thinking that it's only been two weeks since my last post.... Obviously I was mistaken!! Here are a few of the things that have been keeping us busy.

This is my sweet, sweet niece Laney modeling one of the dresses I have been working on. My sisters and sister in law are going to have a booth in the farmers market. It's this weekend, wish us luck!!
Isn't she adorable!!!! She lives in North Dakota now... Sad uh?!! We miss her and her family lots but are happy that they are all together now!!
Max and Alaina helping with the laundry! We all know that the house work is never done and keeps us mighty busy. But I wouldn't trade it. I love that I can stay home with my children and see them grow. It's such a blessing! Thanks Scott!!
(I'm really bummed that Maxs head got cut off. He's such a cutie!! We'll try it again!!)
She likes to ride in there and let Max push her to the laundry room. She just wasn't as happy with his clothes piled on top!
Alaina is a girl to the "T"!! She picks up the phone and says "HI"!!! Love that little bug!!
Here she is with her first set of FULL big girl piggies!!! So ADORABLE!!!
He actually let me take his picture and he smiled!!! Oh what a day! We're working on keeping up with reading and studies during the summer. This is him playing games on Dad's computer.... soooo not school work!
T - BALL!!! It has been keeping us very busy this month. Max has one more game and we have very mixed emotions about it. He loves the game and is a natural at it. I guess it helps that his parents both love it!! His last game he got a REAL home run just like his Dad does. It's fun to watch him play.
Max and his teammates!!! What a silly face!
Max as the catcher. In t-ball they get to play all the positions. It seems like all the kids want to be catcher...
Also in the ball field are Scott and I. We haven't played together since his surgery in 2004. It has been so much fun! Scott plays most positions while I play third base. I'm not s quick as I used to be but I love it just the same.
Here's Scott at short stop.... Keeping his BUTT DOWN!! Isn't it cute!
So, that's what we have been doing all month long. And also add in a new sister in law, Aunt Sarah #2 for us, married to Uncle Jed! We just wished they lived a little closer so we could see them but it's all good. And our puppy's puppy had puppies. So we'll be getting a new puppy in August. A little chocolate lab girl. We are taking tips for names. We aren't good at dog names. We have some picked out for trial.... Jane, Betsy, Remmy(as in Remington(like the Shotgun)). So we'll take any help!!!
It's been lots of fun and I can't wait to see what this month brings. I'm sad that the summer is going so fast. We hope to get in some camping and fishing before its all over. And maybe keep up on the blog! Thanks Marie for the nudge!!!
ALOHA
(That's for you Katie;))

It's official

He's a first grader..... It's ridiculous how fast time goes by. He talks about where he wants to go on his mission and that he wants to join the Army when he grows up. He also uses such big words.... his teacher teahes him the best things, I love it!! Oh my baby is so big!!!

Oh for Tutu's sake!!

My sister, Carrie, has a friend, Kim, who took the most adoreable pictures of her daughter in the cutest tutu for her birthday. I thought that I would try the same idea. Alaina is so cute and then you add a tutu, for sure it would be a hit!! It so didn't work out!! But the pictures are still cute, just in a diefferent sort of way...

Alaina vs The Tutu

and the Tutu wins!!!!
