The Wedding

My good friend asked me to be in her wedding in March. I said yes before I realized that I would be eight months pregnant but it turned out great. The dress shopping wasn't bad and we were able to find one that fit and that could be made more modest for me. You almost can't even tell I'm pregnant, almost. ;) Here are some pictures of the event.

This is the whole bridal party.
Aren't we so cute!

This is me trying not to fall and looking the part!
I look a little scared too. I think it was the stairs that I had to go up.
Heels, long dress, pregnant 'gracefulness' and stairs,
not a good combination!

Me and my sweetie!
I love this picture!!

Me and Roseanna. We've known each other since we were 12.
Crazy how time flies!!

Keeping busy..

Besides doing wife and mom stuff, nesting and just stuff in general, I started reading these books. They're pretty good and I recommend them to every one. They can be a bit 'high schoolish' at times but still good. For a quick, easy and entertaing read, I say try them out.

Stephenie Meyer --- Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse.

9 centimeters to go.....

I went to the doctor and all is well. Right position, right size I assume, I didn't ask, right everything else.... The doc said she could come any time and it would be fine. I think I'm ready for that too!

We toured the hospital and I think we finally chose which one to go to. They're pretty much all the same so it just comes down to convenience. But if we go farther we get a double bed. Better for Scott but not a big deal for me. As long as I have her in a hospital I'll be great!!

Wish me luck!!!

Getting there

I'm getting better just a little cough left. It's just not a good time to be sick but I guess there isn't really a choice. So, now that I'm better I am nesting, some more. It's more like "I have to have everything done NOW and I mean everything". It's so fun. (Sarcasm implied) Yesterday I helped paint and then did some much needed weeding before the rain started. I felt great about it until today. It's amazing how your body is different when you're pregnant, you just can't do the same things. SO, today I napped. A good long, feels so good to sleep nap. I loved it!! But now back to the nesting. I have a bag to pack, clothes to go through and wash, stuff to buy.... And a dresser.... That would be great to have. If any one is getting rid of a dresser we're looking for one. Just let me know.

I'm off to do 'stuff'!

Mom's just shouldn't get sick

I was all ready to post lots of fun stuff this week and be all cute and fun but then I got sick. I decided that the mom just can't get sick. Not much gets done around the house, at all. I'm a pretty tidy person for the most part but not this week. I actually had a load of clean dishes in the dishwasher for two days, yep two. And I may fold the clothes in the dryer that have been there for three days. It's amazing the little things we do each day to stay 'on top'.
I do have to say that my son and husband took great care of me. Max wants to know if he has to take care of me again tomorrow during Church, it's his 'out'. Little cute monster, already trying to skip out on Church. What a boy.

I hope that you are all well and stay away from me if you're healthy!

Oh, it's about time!

I was going to try to wait for a full month before I blogged again but I just couldn't do it. One day short. I can't believe I missed an entire month but it's been a busy one, although I can't think of what we've been doing.
Where to start....
Who couldn't love this face, it looks so innocent. I think mischievous is a better word!

Max --- Soccer is all done. They had the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP game. That's what all the boys were calling it. Crazy kids. They got cute little trophies and some other things for playing. Max loved it. He lost another tooth and has one that is just barely hanging on. You can even see the new one behind it coming in but it just keeps holding on. He's loving pre-school and his friends there. It's fieldtrip time and we had our first one to the dentists office. It was lots of fun. Max was able to sit in the chair and be the example so the dentist could show the kids what he does. He told the kids that your teeth can help tell how old you are. By the looks of Max's teeth he should be 6 1/2 to 7 years old. That theory doesn't work at all for him since it was 1 1/2 years off. Other than him being extremely ready for Spring he's doing great. He wants to wear shorts daily and asks if it's Spring yet. What a kid!!

Not a very good picture but this is me a month ago at 7 months. You can't see the belly very well but it is definatly there, even more so now. I have 7 weeks and 3 days left until we get to meet this little bundle. I can't wait! I'm curious to see who she looks like, if she'll have hair (or be completey bald like Laney, her cousin, who looks adorable I must say). Will she be like Max, will I remember all those things I know I've forgotten in the last 5 years.... So much to do!

Other than the baby and regular Mom/Wife stuff I got to be a bridesmaid in my friends wedding. It was a little crazy! The dress was beautiful but strapless, which was a problem but my Mom and sister-in-law fixed it right up. It also wasn't maternity which could have have been a bigger problem but still worked out. I just got a much bigger size. I couldn't breath, sit or move my arms but....It all worked out. This is the link to the dress if you want to check it out. Beautiful yet... well you know!!

On to Scott. He's been busy working, working, working. This is the only pic we have of him from the entire month. It was a busy month but we made sure we got in plenty of family time in the evening and weekends. It's been an adjustment, for all three of us, to have him gone all day. But it's worth it and he really enjoys this new job. Hopefully that will comtinue.

(Some how I deleted the picture of Scott and it won't let me add it back. Sometimes I wonder about me....)

That's us for the month in a nutshell. We are nuts so it works!! Thanks to Julie and Kallie for letting me know that they really do read this and were curious how we are, love you guys! Hopefully this month will be better and I'll keep you updated. Hugs from us!!
