Soccer Boy

Max has officially joined his first team sport. It's five weeks of indoor soccer. So far it has been a blast to watch him and his teammates play. The team is 9 boys from ages 3 to 5. They are hilarious to watch. The first game was the best, nobody knew which goal to kick towards. Very commical. Possibly the best laugh we've had in awhile. Max has been able to pick it up pretty well since then. His favorite is to play goalie so that he can drop kick the ball to the other end. Here are some pics of the fun.

Max as goalie --- waiting patiently ;)

That's Max in the blue shorts. Apperently soccer is a contact sport.

It's tough work running around all over the place.

I'm sure there will be more to come. GO WILDCATS!!

My baking addiction

Some call it an addiction but I'm going to call it nesting. I think that making sure that your family has plenty of treats to eat counts as nesting. I'm looking out for my own, making sure that they to are 'fat and happy'. I've made cinnamon bread twice, cinnamon rolls twice, french bread, monkey bread twice and the best for last a birthday cake. Oh, this was all in about a week and a half. I think I need to refill my 25lb bucket of flour!

FYI, we didn't eat it all, we gave a lot of it away.

Tonight for dinner --- Pork roast with funeral potatoes and FRENCH BREAD! Apperently I really like the breads! Any and all are invited to come enjoy the goodies. Heaven knows we can't eat them all.

Another tooth lost...

This tooth has a bit of a story. Maybe it's the same with every tooth but this is the first one that has been like this for us. It's only his third one to come out so I guess we have a lot to learn. It just did not want to come out. Scott tried and tried but nope, it didn't budge. Max would sit and wiggle and tug it all day but nothing. It took about a week to get the little tooth out. That's way to long for a five year old to wait for the tooth fairy.

This is about 3 days before the tooth really came out. Max got some floss and pretended that he had pulled it out. It was pretty cute and clever! He loves to be the 'jokester' in the house.
This is the end of the floss that is supposed to look like a tooth. Not to bad.
This the day! It was Sunday and Scott was gone. The tooth was just barely hanging on. I told Max if he twisted it it would come out. He wouldn't let me touch it, mostly because his dad tormented him with it the last week. He went in the bathroom to watch it come out.

Tried the tissue thing but nope it wasn't coming out. So he went back out to the chair and played with it some more. I was making lunch in the kitchen when I heard "MOM I DID IT"!!
H was so excited! He did it all by himself!
Now he has 3 more loose teeth.... Hopefully they won't be as stubborn....
